Varsity blog readers continued to impress this week with more than 4,300 votes cast between the four polls. Another strong week and another impressive comeback on the final day. Central Tech soccer player Ari Buccigrossi overtook Villa Maria’s Kaitlyn Kissell to win this week’s poll. Meadville’s Jalen Gray was able to hold off Cathedral Prep’s Greg Roos to win the boys soccer poll.
Hickory’s Alex Kirsch came through with a big game last week to help the short-handed Hornets defeat Farrell 28-6. Kirsch was rewarded by winning the football poll, while Fort LeBoeuf’s Lindsay Bean won the volleyball poll for the second-straight year.
