The Burger King Classic is set for Jan. 13-14 with another loaded field this year. Aside from host Cathedral Prep, which will be in transition with four starters and several key reserves gone to graduation, Jamesville-Dewitt out side of Syracuse will make the trip along with Milton from Georgia and Trent Internationale from Houston.
Jamesville-Dewitt features 6-foot 10-inch DaJuan Coleman, who is committed to Syracuse, as well as Wake Forest-bound Tyler Cavanaugh. They will take on Trent Internationale in the tip-off at 7 p.m., while Prep will take on Milton. Trent Internationale features 6-foot 9-inch Ali Mohamed, a Rice commitment, as well as 6-8 Ahmed Hamdy and 6-5 Edgaras Kvedaravicius.
Milton has four Division I players in its lineup after winning a state title two years ago and finishing as the state runner-up last year. Evan Nolte leads the way as a 6-7 Virginia recruit, while 6-5 forward Shaquille Johnson is headed to Auburn. Add in 6-4 Charles Mann, a Georgia recruit, and 6-8 Tevin Glass and Milton could be the tournament favorite. Glass has several D-1 offers but has not decided.
