Sundberg is one of several talented freshmen who could be key figures in the future of Fairview’s powerhouse girls swimming program.
She showed her potential last week by recording a combined five event wins in two meets. In the Tigers’ 124-46 victory over Girard Jan. 26, Sundberg won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.98 seconds. She also swam a leg on the first-place 400 freestyle relay.
In Fairview’s 134-36 win over Iroquois Jan. 23, Sundberg again won the 50 free (27.23) and was a member of the winning 200 medley relay and 400 free relay.
She’s one of the reasons why the Tigers’ future looks bright.
