Erie Times-News Breakout Male Swimmer of the Week: Harrison Grimm, Fairview

Harrison Grimm

Grimm has been a force in the Tigers’ program during the past several seasons, and the senior hopes to help Fairview to its fourth consecutive District 10 Class AA title.

He has excelled throughout the regular season, and last week was no different. Grimm placed first in the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 7.60 seconds in the Tigers’ 131-36 triumph over Girard Jan. 26. He also swam legs on the first-place 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays.

In Fairview’s 129-39 victory over Iroquois Jan. 23, Grimm won the 100 breaststroke (1:03.43) and was a member of the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.

He’s the defending 500 free champion in D-10 Class AA and was a three-time state medalist in 2011.
