D-10 mat trio learns PIAA opponents

District 10′s three participants in the PIAA team tournament officially learned Sunday who they’ll face in their respective openers.

Reynolds (18-2) will be first in action at Hershey’s Giant Center. The Raiders, whose two losses are to Fort LeBoeuf, open against District 3 titlist Boiling Springs (20-0) in Thursday’s 2 p.m. block of Class AA duals.

LeBoeuf (14-2) beat Reynolds 31-28 in Saturday night’s district final. The Bison seek to make the PIAA AA championship match for a third consecutive year when they debut against District 7 second seed Jefferson-Morgan (15-2) at 4.

McDowell follows at 6 in the first block of Class AAA duals. The 14-1 Trojans draw 17-4 North Allegheny, the WPIAL runnerup.

That dual is a rematch of the teams’ Jan. 21 meeting at Wexford. McDowell edged the Tigers 28-23.
