Fans are encouraged to submit nominations of teams by Tuesday night and coaches are encouraged to call in every result throughout the season.
McDowell wrestling – The Trojans capped a successful team competition season by winning the District 10 Class AAA championship.
Fairview swimming – The Tigers kept it rolling with a sweep of North East, including a diving record by Carolyn Eckendorf.
Mercyhurst Prep girls basketball – The Lakers earned a thrilling 45-39 overtime win against rival Villa Maria to remain perfect on the season.
Hickory girls basketball – The Hornettes picked up a huge 53-42 win over Franklin.
Conneaut Valley girls basketball – The Indians have been rolling at 9-0 in Region 3.
McDowell swimming – The Trojans continued their strong season with a sweep of Warren on Monday. The boys set four meter-pool school records in the win.
General McLane boys basketball – The Lancers beat McDowell 50-34 on Tuesday to roll to 19-0 on the season with a huge game against Montour on Saturday.
Saegertown boys basketball – The Panthers are streaking right now toward the postseason. Saegertown unofficially claimed a playoff spot Tuesday with a crucial win against Cambridge Springs.
Grove City boys basketball – The Eagles have been rolling lately and making a push toward the region title. Grove City has won its past four games, including huge wins against Sharon and Franklin, and can take huge steps toward the region title Friday against Meadville and Tuesday against Hickory.
