Saegertown wasn’t playing their best ball at the beginning of the season, lost to Seneca when they had all there players.linesville and eisenhower, lakeview killed them, but they have proved they can play…lost to cochranton by 2 in the final seconds of the game, beat cambridge at cambridge in a huge game, they were down 4 at the half against NE in xmas tourney, won last 8/9 games to finish the season. They have one of the biggest and most athletic teams around.. They have a 6’3 kid at the point whos been their leading scorer and rebounder…if they are on i think they can put up a fight…im feeling a cambridge vs. saegertown re-match in the consolation game

also, meadville has proved they can beat the best in region 6, beat GC twice, hickory, franklin… they dont have much size, but theyre quick and explosive and can shoot lights out at times.. Price is one of the best 3 point shooters around and has proved he can score off the drive and with Foster and Hollingsworth look for meadville to make a run

I agree, stown will have their hands full, but i think the Pavlik kid takes over and the size will out board and out score sharpsville. I look for Cambridge over North East, with the big 3 of the Palmero’s and Vanwinkle having big games or they have no shot. They play with 5 men but Palmero is finally healthy and just in time. I can easily see a region 4 rematch in the consolation. What a great atmosphere. . .

  4. crawfordcounty says:

what do you think tom? no shot for crawford county in AA and A?

  5. Tom Reisenweber says:

    Crawford,
I think everyone has a shot, but history has not been kind to Crawford County. I think the last Crawford boys team to win D-10 was Saegertown in 1997 and girls was Conneaut Lake in 2000.

I think North East beats Cambridge in boys but Sharpsville-Saegertown is interesting. The girls are probably overmatched by Kennedy Catholic.

Crawford’s hopes may rely with Meadville.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Meadville on the other hand does have a shot too make some noise. Nobody may be playing better other then General Mclane.

  7. joe says:

North East is to unpredictable, the Coletta kid either scores 18 or 2 and they shoot between 20 and 35 percent you never know what you’ll get from them they go as Cory Bailey goes
