Erie Times-News Breakout Wrestler of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Wrestler of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. with the winner being featured later this week in the Erie Times-News. Nominations are based on results called into the Erie Times-News. Fans are encouraged to submit nominations of players by Saturday night and coaches are encouraged to call in every result throughout the season. Players who have won the award this season are no longer eligible.

Scott Augustine, McDowell – The heavyweight was the last of the Trojans’ five titlists at the District 10 Class AAA tournament.
Cody Copeland, Greenville – Improved to 35-0 at with three pins in 1 minute, 44 seconds or less in the Section 3-AA tournament’s 152-pound division.
Evan Daley, Fort LeBoeuf – In a matchup of top-five, 220-pounders in the state, beat Seneca’s Matt Mongera in the Section 1-AA tournament final.
D.J. Fehlman, Warren – Won the 120-pound division at the District 10 Class AAA tournament with a 6-4 decision over returning two-time district champion Paul Deitz of McDowell.
Jake Gromacki, Cathedral Prep – Won his second District 10 Class AAA title with a 9-0 major decision over General McLane’s Joe Wheeling at 106 pounds.
Ehrin Lee, Titusville – Upset McDowell top seed Cody Nolan, a returning two-time District 10 Class AAA champion, 5-3 for the 145-pound title.
Zac Morris, Corry – Won the 195-pound division at the District 10 Class AAA tournament with a pin of Franklin’s Devin Dolan in 2 minutes, 17 seconds.
Tyler Vath, Saegertown – In his varsity postseason debut, the former state junior champion won the 106-pound division at the Section 1-AA tournament.
Andrew Welton, Central Tech – Became only the Falcons’ third District 10 champion when he pinned East’s Pat Williamson in the Class AAA tournament’s 220-pound final.
Pat Williamson, East – Became the first Warrior to advance to the Northwest Region Class AAA tournament when he reached the 220-pound final of the District 10 tournament.
