Dave,
You don't exactly seed it 1-8. The usual way Class AAA does it is four teams from each region. So the top seed in one region plays the bottom seed in the other region. The second seed from one region plays the third seed from the other and so on.

General McLane won the Region 7 title and gets the low seed from Region 6. Franklin is the low seed left from Region 6. This year was unusual with the play-in games but it worked out where Franklin was the fourth seed from the region and is playing the No. 1 seed.

Play-in winners usually have to play the best team in the bracket in most sports because play-in game teams were the last teams to get in. Look at the NCAA tournament. There was a game between the 64th and 65th seed two days before the first round. The winner of that game usually played the No. 1 seed overall.

Thanks,
Tom

how does Franklin go 18-5 and draw GM after having to play-in just to get in? If you are seeding 1-8, then that means they are #8. That just isn't the case at all.

Wow tom all you scores were pretty close lol. I don't know how much of an upset girard beating meadville was. i thought it was well matched, girard plays a game they're not used to and Hollingsworth can't do it all. I look forward to seeing your predicted scores for thursday and fridays games.
