D-10 arranges alternate lots for AA meet

Wrestling fans who plan to attend the District 10 Class AA tournament will get their own version of exercise before and after the matches.

Because of construction work at Sharon High School’s main parking area, tournament officials have arranged special lots for Friday and Saturday’s competition. Those lots are:

▀ Case Avenue Elementary School, located on the south side of East State Street and east of Sharon Regional Hospital.

▀ Sharon Regional Hospital’s gated lots, located on the southwest corner of East State and Stambaugh Avenue. The gates for those lots, which are bisected by Woodrow Court, will be opened.

▀ The Kirila lot, located on the southeast corner of East State and Stambaugh behind Walgreens Pharmacy. It can be accessed from Stambaugh.

▀ The Sharon/Chrysler Plymouth lot, located on the south side of East State and west of McGonigle Ambulance Service.

Friday’s matches will start at 5:15 p.m. in the high school’s main gymnasium. Saturday’s action begins at 8:45 a.m., followed by the third- and fifth-place finals at 3 p.m. and the championship finals at 4:30.

The top six wrestlers in each division will return to Sharon for the March 2-3 Northwest Region AA tournament.

One Response to D-10 arranges alternate lots for AA meet

  1. JT says:

Parking there is truly a nightmare now and probably through the next year. I would hit up the Kirila lot behind Walgreens which is across the street from Sharon high and about a block away. Alot of street parking available too but don’t block driveways, fire hydrants, etc. You will definitely get a ticket or towed…!
