Erie Times-News Breakout Team of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Team of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Friday at 4:59 p.m. with the winner being featured Sunday in the Erie Times-News. Fans are encouraged to submit nominations of teams by Tuesday night and coaches are encouraged to call in every result throughout the season.

Meadville hockey – The Bulldogs rolled to the Lake Shore Hockey League regular season title with a 6-1 win over Fort LeBoeuf.
Harbor Creek hockey – The Huskies earned a playoff win by defeating Wheeling Central 6-4 in the PIHL Open quarterfinals.
General McLane boys basketball – The Lancers rolled through two playoff games this past week and is 23-0 this season. McLane will play for the D-10 Class AAA title on Friday.
West Middlesex boys basketball - The Big Reds survived a scrappy VisionQuest team to qualify for the D-10 Class A championship.
Kennedy Catholic boys basketball – The Golden Eagles routed Cochranton to earn a spot in the D-10 Class A championship.
North East boys basketball – The Grapepickers earned a huge 41-40 win over Lakeview in the D-10 Class AA semifinals on Tuesday.
Warren boys basketball - The Dragons have risen to the challenge twice this past week to storm into the D-10 Class AAA championship.
Franklin girls basketball – The Knights rolled through North East to advanced to the D-10 Class AAA semifinals.
Mercyhurst Prep girls basketball – Mercyhurst remained undefeated this season with a rout of Grove City.
Villa Maria girls basketball – The Victors had no issues with Wilmington in the first round and look poised for a sixth straight D-10 title.
Girard girls basketball - The YellowJackets handled Sharon to move into the D-10 semifinals.
Saegertown girls basketball – The Panthers upset Farrell in the first round of the D-10 Class A playoffs.
