Two athletes from the same school are allowed this week and will be allowed after the PIAA meet in two weeks. Also, divers are eligible this week because there was no Breakout poll after the D-10 diving championships last week. Be sure to vote before Tuesday’s 11:59 p.m. deadline:
GIRLS
Katie Antal, Slippery Rock: The sophomore placed second and qualified for the state meet in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.96) and 200 IM (2:18.36) at the District 10 Class AA championships.
Lauren Barber, Wilmington: The freshman had two victories and set a record in her first D-10 Class AA meet. She set meet and pool records in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.46) and won the 100 breaststroke (1:06.23).
Carolyn Eckendorf, Fairview: The senior and three-time PIAA qualifier won her first District 10 Class AA diving championship with 420.05 points.
Hannah Feucht, North East: She placed second in the District 10 Class AA meet and qualified for the PIAA meet in two events: 50 freestyle (24.51) and 100 freestyle (54.35).
Marie Georger, Mercyhurst Prep: She completed a pair of four-year sweeps of two events at the D-10 Class AA meet. She won her fourth titles in the 100 backstroke (55.83) and 200 IM (2:05.60). She also anchored the record-setting 400 freestyle relay (3:36.19) and the winning 200 medley relay (1:49.37).
Rylee Klomp, Mercyhurst Prep: She turned in four victories and set three records at the District 10 Class AA championships. She set meet and pool records in the 50 freestyle (23.69) and 100 freestyle (51.70). She also anchored the record-setting 400 freestyle relay (3:36.19) and the winning 200 medley relay (1:49.37).
Shanen Lazenby, McDowell: She closed her District 10 Class AAA career with 15 out of a possible 16 District 10 titles. She won her third consecutive title in the 100 freestyle (53.06) and swam on each of McDowell’s three winning relays.
Emma Swabb, McDowell: She capped her District 10 Class AAA career with four victories, including her third straight titles in the 200 individual medley (2:10.41) and the 100 breaststroke (1:08.51). She also swam on two winning relays.
BOYS
David Benczkowski, Mercyhurst Prep: He won the D-10 Class AA title in the 100 backstroke (53.52), touching first in a dramatic finish between three swimmers. He also swam on the second-place 200 medley relay (1:41.52) and third-place 400 free relay (3:21.35). He also took fourth in the 100 free (49.33).
Dylan Cerroni, Sharon: He claimed the Tigers’ only title at the District 10 Class AA meet by winning the 500 freestyle in 5:06.21. He also took fourth in the 200 free (1:53.20).
Phil Emerson, Franklin: He set District 10 Class AA meet records in the 50 freestyle (21.07) and 100 freestyle (46.37). Emerson also swam on the winning 200 free relay (1:29.88) and second-place 400 free relay (3:19.28).
Kevin Intrieri, McDowell: He set three records in the District 10 Class AAA championships. Intrieri broke meet and pool records in the 100 free (46.17) and tied meet and pool records in the 50 free (20.77). He also anchored the record-setting 200 freestyle relay (1:24.66).
Luke Merski, Cathedral Prep: The junior won his second District 10 Class AAA title in the 200 IM (1:59.12) and placed second in the 100 backstroke (53.51). He also was a member of the winning 200 medley relay (1:38.7) and 400 freestyle relay (3:16.71).
Richard “R.J.” Petrella, Fairview: He won his fourth straight D-10 Class AA title in the 200 IM (1:56.00) and placed second in the 100 freestyle (47.13). He also swam legs on the winning 200 medley relay (1:38.7) and 400 freestyle relay (3:16.71).
Richard “R.J.” Rahner, Cathedral Prep: He set District 10 Class AAA meet and pool records (50.15) with his third straight title in the 100 butterfly and swam a leg on the winning 200 medley relay (1:35.50). He also placed third in the 100 free (47.33).
Danny Roberts, Fairview: The defending PIAA Class AA champion claimed his third consecutive District 10 Class AA diving championship with a record 549.70 points.
Gage Schwab, McDowell: He won his second consecutive District 10 Class AAA diving title with a total of 470.65 points.
