Cathedral Prep and McDowell will host its own high school baseball showcase for the second-straight year on Saturday at Ainsworth Field. St. Joseph’s from Buffalo and St. Edward out of Lakewood (Ohio) will head to Erie for a quadrupleheader.
St. Edward enters with a 6-10 record according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer and is coming off a 7-2 loss to Strongsville earlier tonight. The Eagles are struggling with a brutal Ohio schedule but could be an entertaining team to watch on Saturday. St. Edward begins the day with a 10 a.m. game against McDowell (9-2) before taking on Cathedral Prep (8-2) at 1 p.m.
The day of baseball continues at 4 p.m. as the Ramblers turn right around to take on St. Joseph’s. The Marauders then finish the quadrupleheader against McDowell at 7 p.m. St. Joseph’s enters with a 6-0-1 record and has won six games in a row since tying Orchard Park 7-7 on March 30.
