Erie Times-News Breakout Team of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Team of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Friday at 4:59 p.m. with the winner being featured Sunday in the Erie Times-News. Fans are encouraged to submit nominations of teams by Tuesday night and coaches are encouraged to call in every result throughout the season.

Meadville girls track and field – The Bulldogs dominated the McDowell Invitational, spearheaded by several big-time performances from Paige Kassab.
McDowell boys track and field – The Trojans put together a solid performance at the McDowell Invitational to claim the team title.
Harbor Creek track and field – Both Huskie squads were terrific on Saturday to sweep the Franklin Invitational.
Cathedral Prep tennis – The Ramblers dominated McDowell for the second time to wrap up the Region 3 title and remain undefeated on Monday.
Meadville volleyball – The Bulldogs remained perfect in the region with a win over Fort LeBoeuf on Tuesday.
Cochranton volleyball – The Cardinals are a perfect 4-0 in region play after a win against Farrell on Tuesday.
Cathedral Prep lacrosse - The Ramblers picked up another thrilling overtime win on Monday. Prep defeated Winchester Thurston 7-6 on Josh Mack’s third goal in the second overtime.
Saegertown baseball - The Panthers are a perfect 14-0 this season and are on pace to defend their D-10 Class AA championship.
Titusville softball – The Rockets keep winning with a young, inexperienced team. Titusville is 11-0 and is closing in on a perfect regular season.
Saegertown softball – The Panthers moved to 13-0 in their past game and are rolling this year.
North East softball – The Grapepickers are off to one of their best starts in recent history at 8-4.
