There are plenty of talented hitters in Region 6, but Chelsea Czerwinski is making a case to be counted among the leaders in a loaded region.
The junior captain is hitting .344 this season, with eight RBIs and 13 runs scored. Her biggest game of the season came in a 13-9 win over Central Tech.
On that day, Czerwinski, a center fielder/shortstop had four hits, including two home runs, four RBIs and four runs scored.
Czerwinski is the Lakers’ second-leading hitter, and if Mercyhurst gets the call to compete in the District 10 Class AAAA championship, her leadership could be key against McDowell.
