HERSHEY — The Cathedral Prep team of Alex Brzozowski and Mario Nicolia advanced to the PIAA Class AAA tennis doubles championship match today with a semifinal win at Hershey Racquet Club.
Brzozowski and Nicolia, both seniors, defeated Radnor seniors Antoine Martin and Massimo Boni 7-5, 6-4 in today’s semifinals.
The Ramblers’ duo will advance to today’s PIAA championship match at 3 p.m. They will play either Conestoga’s District 1 champion team of Jason Sutker-Eric Yen or Parkland’s District 11 team of Igor Ivanov-Richard Lichtenwalner.
This is the second consecutive PIAA finals appearance for Nicolia, who teamed with Chad Walbridge to place second in the 2011 PIAA Class AAA doubles tournament.

Cathedral Prep’s doubles team of Alex Brzozowski and Mario Nicolia wins the first set in the PIAA Class AAA semifinals in Hershey. The Prep duo takes the set 7-5 against Radnor seniors Antoine Martin and Massimo Boni. Prep leads 1-0 in the second set.
It is the first set the Radnor team has lost in the tournament.
