The Prep Basbeall Report put on a Western Pennsylvania prospect showcase last week with several District 10 up-and-coming standouts making an impression. Saegertown’s Tyler Walters was the top-rated catcher and Collin Fantaskey (Warren) was named to the top infielder. Walters was named the all-district catcher this past season. McDowell’s Brian Bohman was rated the second-best catcher, and Matt Gordon (Grove City) and Luke Carter (Saegertown) were in the top five for pitchers.
Also being rated as top five players at their positions were Ted Williams of Meadville (infield) and Hunter Johnston (infield) and Kyle Wise (outfield) of Saegertown. Oil City’s Wesley Lang, a middle infielder, was especially impressive at the plate during the showcase.
