All-state softball selections announced

District 10 racked up 18 all-state selections today as the PSBCA all-state team was announced.

Fairview put together another banner year and a big part of the Tigers’ success was Raven Rozantz. She was named to the Class AA first team as a pitcher, while teammates Michalla Martin (outfield) and Kayla Kupniewski (shortstop) were voted to the second team and honorable mention, respectively.

First baseman Megan Bowser (second team) and second baseman Marie Johnson (honorable mention) were Titusville selections in Class AA along with Kim Finley, a second-team third baseman.

Class AAA received seven all-state selections, including Warren standouts Alexa Bupp (pitcher) and Abby Jeffries (first base) on the first team. The Dragons also had second baseman Kaitlin Ishman as a second-team selection.

Fort LeBoeuf and Harbor Creek picked up two selections each. LeBoeuf shortstop Allania Banta was voted to the second team and designated player Jolene Young was honorable mention.

Third baseman Kaitlin Pasierb (second team) and outfielder Heather Reichenback (second team) made it for the Huskies.

In Class A, McKenzie Popatak of Sharpsville is a first-team catcher and Cochranton’s Shelby Proctor is a first-team outfielder.

Saegertown’s Rachel DiBartolomeo (catcher) and Arianna Hanley (pitcher) were voted to the second team and honorable mention, respectively.

Amanda Bowers (West Middlesex) is a second-team outfielder and Megan Sindlinger (Linesville) is an honorable-mention third baseman.
