Corry Beavers
Boys
Coach (season): Mike Schrecengost (1st season)
2011 overall record: 3-15-0
2011 region record (place): 2-8-0 (fifth)
2011 playoff results: Did not qualify for the District 10 Class AA playoffs
Top players lost: Andy Hajec, Harley Jaggi, Todd Knapp, Jamie McClelland, Tyler Rash
Top returning players: Ryan Walsh, Bailey Patten, Garrett Dennis, Curtis Northrop, Josh Schrecengost, Brody Wood
Assistant coaches: Adam Lamber, Harley Jaggi
Outlook: Corry will look to turn things around under new head coach Mike Schrecengost this fall. The Beavers have struggled to get their program to a competitive level and it won’t be easy this fall with only three seniors on the roster. Corry lost Andy Hajec, Harley Jaggi, Todd Knapp, Jamie McClelland and Tyler Rash to graduation in the spring. Hajec was an all-region first-team selection on offense, while McClelland Jaggi were second-team picks on offense. The Beavers’ offense took a big hit to graduation but the defense is mostly back along with third-year starter Ryan Walsh in goal. Bailey Patten, Garrett Dennis, Curtis Northrop, Josh Schrecengost and Brody Wood are back this season to provide some depth for the Beavers. Josh Schrecengost and Wood may be counted on to lead the Corry offense this season. Corry is in a tough region which now features a solid Saegertown squad along with powers Bradford and Warren. The Beavers need to shore up its offense to not only score goals but give the veteran defense some support in slowing down opponents.

Coach (season): Gary Whiteley (5th season)
2011 overall record: 0-18-0
2011 region record (place): 0-8-0 (fifth)
2011 playoff results: Did not qualify for the District 10 Class AA playoffs.
Top players lost: Samantha Pratt, Autumn Sterling
Top returning players: Tess Martin, Kara Sorensen
Assistant coach: Kaylyn Whiteley
Outlook: Corry will look to turn the program around this season under fifth-year coach Gary Whiteley. The Beavers have struggled the past few years, especially on offense. Whiteley said that scoring will be the biggest priority this season and staying competitive. Corry has not won a match since 2009 and getting its first win in three years is the first priority. The Beavers will be without goalkeeper Samantha Pratt and midfielder Autumn Sterling because of graduation. Forwards Tess Martin and Autumn Sterling are back this season, while freshman Alexa Byers could be an impact player right away. The Beavers are trying to change direction from their recent struggles and developing the underclassmen and chemistry will be huge keys this fall.
