Taylor Palowski enters her junior season as a third-year starter for Harbor Creek. She was a second-team all-Region 5 libero as a freshman before being voted as a second-team all-region outside hitter as a sophomore.
The 5-foot 4-inch outside hitter helped Harbor Creek open the season by reaching the semifinals of the 15-team Fort LeBoeuf Tournament Saturday. The Huskies’ tournament showing included a win over powerful Conneaut in the quarterfinals.
Harbor Creek is led by seven seniors, including co-captains Karly Stoddard and Nikki Murphy. Palowski is another key contributor on the veteran squad.
“She has high energy and a great motor,” Harbor Creek coach Ryan Smock said.
With Palowski and the group of senior returnees, Harbor Creek could contend for a Region 5 title and is a favorite to reach the D-10 Class AA playoffs again.
