Erie Times-News Breakout Team of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Team of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Friday at 4:59 p.m. with the winner being featured Sunday in the Erie Times-News. Teams who have won the award this season are no longer eligible. Fans are encouraged to nominate teams by 5 p.m. each Tuesday.

Lakeview football - The Sailors are off to a fast 2-0 start after an impressive 28-14 win over Conneaut this past week.
Cochranton football - The Cardinals put together another impressive with by beating Cambridge Springs 49-14.
Grove City football – The Eagles overcame big-time graduation losses to start this season 2-0 after an impressive 19-7 win over Wilmington.
Reynolds football – The Raiders are rolling this season at 2-0 after holding off Titusville 19-6.
Corry football - The Beavers edged North East 35-28 to remain perfect this season and take control of Region 4.
Cathedral Prep football – The Ramblers established their position as the top Class AAA team in District 10 by routing Strong Vincent 48-22.
DuBois football – The Beavers have inexperience in their starting lineup but have managed an impressive 2-0 start. DuBois routed Franklin 61-21 this past week.
Cathedral Prep soccer – Despite heavy graduation losses and several big-time injuries this past week, the Ramblers moved to 2-0-0 Tuesday with a 3-1 win over East.
Harbor Creek boys soccer – The Huskies keep rolling at 4-0-0 this season, including a 4-1 win over powerhouse Warren.
Eisenhower boys soccer – The Knights are a perfect 3-0-0 so far and have a huge match with Fairview on Monday.
Commodore Perry boys soccer – The Panthers have been building toward a playoff spot for years and might be on their way after a 2-0-0 start. Commodore Perry’s two wins including perennial power Slippery Rock, 2-1.
Franklin boys soccer – The Knights moved to 3-0-0 on Tuesday with a win over Meadville.
Harbor Creek girls soccer - The Huskies keep on winning at 5-0-0. Harbor Creek held off Villa Maria 2-1 on Tuesday.
Hickory girls soccer – The Hornets might be the hottest team in District 10 with a 3-0-0 record and no goals allowed this season.
Grove City boys cross country - The Eagles dominated the B race at the Red, White and Blue Classic in Pittsburgh on Saturday. Grove City won the team championship.
West Middlesex cross country – The Big Reds won the boys and girls team titles in the White race at the West Middlesex Invitational.
Hickory cross country – The Hornets won the boys and girls team titles in the Red race the West Middlesex Invitational.
General McLane girls tennis – The Lancers moved to an impressive 3-0 by beating McDowell this past week.
Cathedral Prep golf - Clinched the Region 7 championship on Monday.
