Saturday football updates

Final update
Meadville beats East 41-30.

Update No. 23
Prep defeats Lake Catholic 37-6.

Update No. 22
Meadville in control 35-15 in the fourth quarter, while Prep is leading 37-0 over Lake Catholic in the fourth.

Update No. 21
Midway through the third, Meadville leads East 28-15. Late third, Prep leads Lake Catholic 37-0.

Update No. 20
Terry with his third touchdown pass and the rout is on. 34-0 Prep over Lake Catholic with less than one minute left in the half.

Update No. 19
Damion Terry keeps it for a 10-yard touchdown. Prep jumps out to a 27-0 lead with three minutes left in the first half.

Update No. 18
Damion Terry finds Jake Plonski from 10 yards out. 20-0 Prep after the PAT was blocked. 5:30 left in the first half.

East leads Meadville 9-7 after the first quarter.

Update No. 16
Delton Williams returns a punt 55 yards for a touchdown. He also had a 90-yarder against Strong Vincent. 14-0 Prep in the first.

Update No. 15
With 2:45 left in the first, Cathedral Prep takes a 7-0 lead against Lake Catholic on a 32-yard touchdown pass from Damion Terry to Brendan Klemensic.

Update No. 14
McDowell finishes off the route 49-20. Very impressive win for the Trojans. The Prep-Lake Catholic and Meadville-East games are 40 minutes from starting.

Update No. 13
Dylan Ukasik makes it 42-7 McDowell with a 2-yard touchdown run.

Update No. 12
McDowell leads 35-7 after three quarters. The Trojans will start the fourth quarter on the Lancaster Catholic 2-yard line.

Update No. 11
Another long touchdown run by Spearman puts McDowell up 35-7 early in the third quarter.

Update No. 10
McDowell is starting to run away with this one. A 46-yard touchdown by Tyree Spearman and McDowell leads Lancaster Catholic 28-7 at halftime. McDowell has 292 rushing yards in the first half to LC’s 8.

Have a game James. Conner goes 92 yards for the touchdown. 21-7 Trojans. He has 169 yards and two touchdowns and there is still half of the game to play.

McDowell takes a 14-0 lead but Lancaster Catholic answers with a 68-yard touchdown pass. Early second quarter.

That didn’t take long. James Conner goes 73 yards for a touchdown. 7-0 McDowell less than two minutes into the game. Also, St. Ignatius beats Strong Vincent 40-0 for its first shutout since 2009.

St. Ignatius leads Strong Vincent 40-0 after three quarters. McDowell and Lancaster Catholic are minutes away from getting started.

St. Ignatius leads Strong Vincent 34-0 at the half. One hour until McDowell and Lancaster Catholic get underway.

C.J. Haag picks up a “punt” on the one-yard line and runs it in for a touchdown. 34-0 St. Ignatius early second quarter.

Update No. 3
A nice 35-yard touchdown run by Tim McVey makes it 28-0 St. Ignatius over Strong Vincent. St. Ignatius has had one play in its own territory and that was after a holding call. The game is headed to the second quarter. LaManna has touchdown passes to John Hyland and Rocky Zingale and a TD run.

With 4:11 left in the first, Mike LaManna runs in a 9-yard touchdown. 21-0 St. Ignatius

Update No. 1
St. Ignatius leads Strong Vincent 14-0 with 6:19 left in the first. LaManna with a nice slant pass for the Wildcats’ second touchdown.
