The Meadville football team needed someone to step up Saturday against East.
Standouts Artrel Foster and Tim Bolden were sidelined for various reasons and sophomore Nathan Martin was one of several players to fill the void.
Martin ran for two touchdowns and caught an 8-yard touchdown pass in the first half to help the Bulldogs knock off the Warriors 41-30.
Martin finished with 22 yards on seven carries, but his three first-half touchdowns were crucial for Meadville to build momentum in the non-region win.
Ryan Harkness led the Bulldogs with 226 yards and two touchdowns 27 rushes, and Trevor Martin added 130 yards and a touchdown on 15 rushes.
