Will give W Middlesex and Sharpsville the One and Two spots in Region One, but feel the 3 and 4 in that region are up for grabs.

As of this date, Farrell and Lakeview have the inside track. However, Lakeview has to play Sharpsville and W Middlesex while Farrell has Mercer and the Conneaut consolidation. And, you can never rule out Mercer or Conneaut. Could be a change in the Number 5 and 7 seed as well as 6 and 8.

  2. Tom Reisenweber says:

    Gabe,
Conneaut is Class AAA so they will not factor into the Class A playoffs. Mercer is mathematically out of it because they can finish, at best, 1-5 in the region. That means the four teams are pretty much settled from Region 1. The only possible change is if Farrell loses out and Kennedy wins out in the final two games then Kennedy would get in. Kennedy has Middlesex and Conneaut left on the schedule.

It looks like the only meaningful race will be seeds, but I think Region 1 is sweeping Region 2 in the first round anyway so seeds are almost meaningless.

    Thanks,
    Tom

My Bad: Keep forgetting Conneaut is AAA. Will agree with you about the seedings, but don’t want to give any team “lockeroom material.”

Still think your 5 and 7 seed will be reversed. Lakeview has the much tougher schedule.

  4. Tom Reisenweber says:

It could Gabe. Remember, these are based on the standings today and not the future.

    Thanks,
    Tom
