Erie Times-News Breakout Fall Athlete of the Week: Christine Uht, Villa Maria water polo

Christine Uht

Christine Uht is a senior captain who has been one of the key players in the resurgence of the Villa Maria program.

Uht, who plays every position except goalie, scored nine goals last week as the Victors went 2-2.

She has 43 goals this year, moving her career total to 188, good for third on Villa’s career list.

She leads the Victors with 19 assists and has 60 in her career, which ranks second in school history. She also leads the team with 24 kickouts drawn this year, pushing her school-record total to 79.

“The program would not be where it is right now if it wasn’t for her,” Villa assistant coach Adrienne Fischer said. “She’s one of the most dedicated athletes we have and she loves to play the game.”
