Didn’t change anything Greg. You feeling OK? lol

    Thanks,
    Tom

  3. Mike says:

Why not include Wilmington in the play-in scenarios? They may end up with the exact same region record as Corry.

  4. Tom Reisenweber says:

    Mike,
Wilmington is in the conversation but I only mentioned Corry and Iroquois because I feel those regions are tougher. Not to say Region 3 is easy but Region 4 has Conneaut (Class A state champion last year) and Meadville, while Region 5 has Fort LeBoeuf and General McLane, which have been tearing up weekend tournaments this season. I’m not sure if Wilmington will get an opportunity at a play-in match but they are in the conversation.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Thanks for the reply Tom. Is this your opinion or is the D10 committee going to make choices like that for volleyball this year? In the past the at-large bids went based on winning %-age within region play ONLY meaning Iroquois would (unfairly) get that last spot precisely because they have more teams in their region. It might be equally unfair to say to Wilmington that the other regions “top 2 teams” appear better than theirs so their equal record and third place finish counts for less.

    Mike,
D-10 makes all decisions I only offer my opinions on this blog. Not sure what D-10 will do this week.

    Thanks,
    Tom

  10. Matthew says:

With Iroquois beating Fairview last night, they are 9-4 in their region, with one more match vs. Northeast on Thursday. Corry is done with region play, and they finished at 8-4. If Iroquois loses to Northeast, finishing 9-5, do you think they will still need to play in vs. Corry?

  11. Tom Reisenweber says:

    Matthew,
I’m not sure you can go solely off region records because there are more teams in Region 5. I think you have to look at it as two deserving teams in third place of their respective regions and maybe have to play for that final spot.

    Thanks,
    Tom
