Ohio dropped from Big 33 game

The Big 33 Scholarship Foundation announced that Pennsylvania will play Maryland instead of Ohio in the annual Big 33 game over the next five years. The change will occur right away as Pennsylvania will take on Maryland on in the 57th Big 33 Football Classic on June 15, 2013. This is the ninth change in opponents for the Big 33 game and the first time Pennsylvania is playing Maryland since 1992. Former opponents include national all-star teams, Texas, Ohio and the game was at one point an East-West game in Pennsylvania. The Big 33 game has featured many five-star players and there has never been a Super Bowl that didn’t feature a Big 33 alumnus.

The Big 33 Scholarship Foundation will hold a press conference on Nov. 8 in Brooklandville, Maryland to release more details.
