  1. collegeREC says:

Tom did you get a chance to watch any of the girls play offs

  2. Tom Reisenweber says:

    CollegeREC,
I was at the Villa game.

    Thanks,
    Tom

  3. collegeREC says:

I herd Villa could make some noise in the AA girls D10 playoffs, the other team I herd was Hickory.

  4. collegeREC says:

I do feel D10 needs to do something different in playoff seeding. AA girls is a great example. HC, FL, and MG all one and done and yet region 2, and 4 still have there top two teams. But they have reg2 champs vs reg4 champs on one side and reg2 at large vs reg4 at large on the other. And from the games I’ve scouted this yr there two best teams PREP & HICKORY are playing in the semi. whats your thoughts?

  5. Tom Reisenweber says:

Well, D-10 rotates the region champions each year so the same two don’t meet every year. The original bracket of six teams had the Region 4 and 5 champions with first-round byes but the expansion to eight teams took those away. The Region 2 and 4 champions are on the same side of the bracket but next year it could be Region 2 and 5. The set up is rotated each year and isn’t based on talent level of teams.

    Thanks,
    Tom

  6. collegeREC says:

Ok I see, are staff was talking last night and wondering. Cause in North Carolina its reg rec with cross reg play and then seeded.

  7. Tom Reisenweber says:

Yeah D-10 doesn’t really seed. The brackets are set ahead of time with region champions and the are filled in by at-large spots.

    Thanks,
    Tom

  8. SouthSoccer says:

Anyone have any predictions on the scores for tonight?

    Mine would be:
    Mercer 2 North East 1
    MP 4 Fairview 3
    HC 5 Saegertown 1
    Warren 2 GM 1
