Erie Times-News Breakout Team of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Team of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Friday at 4:59 p.m. with the winner being featured Sunday in the Erie Times-News. Teams who have won the award this season are no longer eligible. Fans are encouraged to nominate teams by 5 p.m. each Tuesday.

Note: This will be the final team of the week poll for the fall season.

Fort LeBoeuf girls volleyball – Won the first PIAA volleyball championship in Erie County history. The Bisons knocked off Delone Catholic in four sets in the title match.
Hickory football – Beat Grove City 35-13 in the District 10 Class AA semifinals.
Wilmington football – Edged Greenville 10-9 in two overtimes in the D-10 Class AA semifinals.
McDowell football – Routed Perry 61-14 in a PIAA Class AAAA subregional.
Cathedral Prep football – Beat Warren 54-12 in the District 10 Class AAA semifinals.
General McLane football – Won a thriller over Slippery Rock 46-42 in the D-10 Class AAA semifinals.
West Middlesex football – Defeated Farrell 42-0 in the D-10 Class A semifinals.
Sharpsville football – Held off Lakeview 41-34 in the D-10 Class A semifinals.
