Kennedy Catholic's Alex Ricketts signs her letter of intent to Akron
Kennedy Catholic star basketball player Alex Ricketts made her commitment to Akron official recently when she signed her letter of intent. She received a full scholarship to play hoops and is the third Division I girls basketball player to sign along with Villa Maria’s Karlee McBride to Indiana and Mercyhurst Prep standout Brenna Robbins to Longwood.
Ricketts has been a big part of Kennedy’s recent success. She averaged 13.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 3.5 steals per game as a junior. The Golden Eagles dominated Class A last year to win the District 10 championship and will be a heavy favorite to repeat this year.
