All season they have been atop the Class AAA state football rankings.
Cathedral Prep has been No. 1 in one poll and No. 2 in the other, while McDevitt has been No. 2 in one poll and No. 1 in the other.
On Friday at 7 p.m. in Clearfield, the two state powers will settle the matter in the PIAA Class AAA semifinals.
Both teams boast speed, big-armed quarterbacks and high-powered offenses. Both have aggressive, big-hitting defenses. It should be quite a showdown.
Now fans have a chance to vote on which team they think will win Friday. Cast your vote in the poll at right before Friday at 6:30 p.m.

This is the first game I’ve been nervous about Prep losing since McDowell. Should be real close.
The key to the game is the Rambler DL getting pressure on Alec Werner and not giving him time to throw.
10 bus loads of the finest students in the state will make the McDevitt faithful cringe.
There’s a reason Plonski, Terry, & Williams are going D1.
Prep by 7 in the last minute.
ROLL RAMBLERS!
I think Mcdevitt QB is very good but his Division 1 receiver really has elevated him. If Prep secondary can guard Lemelle very well, Werner will have to go elsewhere. He may still try to get to him and maybe force it. Hopefully that means a couple picks for Prep D.
