State record in range for Terry

Cathedral Prep quarterback Damion Terry has put together one of the top all-time seasons in District 10 history. He still has a chance to make his mark on the state level as well. Terry has thrown for 48 touchdowns this season. The state record coming into the season was 52, set by South Fayette star Christian Brumbaugh in 2010 and was matched by Port Allegany’s Matt Bodamer this year. Port Allegany lost to powerhouse Clairton Friday ending his run. Terry, who has thrown for at least two touchdowns in 13 of 14 games this season, would need four against Archbishop Wood to tie the record and five to stand alone. Here is the list of all-time touchdown passes in one season in state history:

52 – Matt Bodamer (Port Allegany, 2012) and Christian Brumbaugh (South Fayette, 2010)
50 – Kyle Smith (Lancaster Catholic, 2009)
49 – Chad Kroell (Clearfield, 1994)
48 – Damion Terry (Cathedral Prep, 2012)
