Erie Times-News Breakout Team of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Team of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Friday at 4:59 p.m. with the winner being featured Sunday in the Erie Times-News. Teams who have won the award this season are no longer eligible. Fans are encouraged to nominate teams by 5 p.m. each Tuesday.

Cochranton wrestling – Had a solid performance at the Redbank Valley tournament by finishing in third place.
Jamestown wrestling - Went 5-0 at the Lakeview Duals.
Central Tech wrestling – Dominated at the Carr Duals at 5-0.
Reynolds boys basketball – Picked up two impressive wins over North East and Conneaut to win the Conneaut tournament.
Titusville boys basketball – The Rockets edged South Side Beaver and Corry to win the Corry tournament.
Meadville boys basketball – Defeated Seneca and defending tournament champion St. Francis Catholic (Canada) to win the Meadville tournament.
Oil City boys basketball – The Oilers are off to a solid 6-1 start, including the Oil City tournament championship.
General McLane boys basketball – The Lancers rolled through Cambridge Springs and Northwestern to win the Northwestern tournament.
Girard boys basketball – Dominated Greenville and Iroquois to win the Iroquois tournament.
Central Tech boys basketball – Put together routs of Brockway and DuBois to win the DuBois tournament.
Kennedy Catholic girls basketball – The Golden Eagles were rolling through the Penn State Beaver tournament before snow postponed the championship game. Kennedy has won six in a row since a season-opening loss to Franklin.
Sharon girls basketball – Pulled out solid wins over Youngstown East and Brookfield to win the Brookfield tournament.
Cochranton girls basketball – Beat Reynolds and Youngsville to win the Union City tournament.
Conneaut girls basketball – Picked up a thrilling overtime win against General McLane to win the Conneaut tournament.
Girard girls basketball – The YellowJackets moved to 5-1 after winning the Corry tournament.
North East girls basketball – Beat two quality opponents to win the Saegertown tournament.
Hickory girls basketball – Won both games by an average of more than 40 points to win the Hickory tournament.
Harbor Creek girls basketball – The Huskies dominated Northwestern and Iroquois to win the Iroquois tournament.
Warren girls basketball – The Dragons remained a perfect 7-0 by winning the Cranberry tournament.
