Erie Times-News Breakout Girls Basketball Player of the Week: April Bocian, Kennedy Catholic

April Bocian

April Bocian arrived at Kennedy Catholic this season and has made an immediate impact for the Golden Eagles.

The 6-foot 3-inch freshman had 16 points, 21 rebounds and two steals in a
66-35 win over Commodore Perry.

Bocian is averaging only 4.5 points per game, but her presence underneath the hoop gives the powerhouse Golden Eagles another weapon to alter opponents’ gameplans.

Her Kennedy Catholic career is off to a terrific start and she could emerge as one of Mercer County’s top players over the next four years.
