Franklin, Youngsville hire football coaches

Former Cochranton football coach Tom Haynes was approved Monday as the new coach at Franklin and John Victor, a Warren County veteran coach, has been hired at Youngsville. Haynes, who replaces Dave Smith, spent 16 seasons at Cochranton with a record of 48-102. He will look to turn around a Franklin program that has five wins in the past four seasons. Victor has coached for every school in Warren County as an assistant or junior high coach. He will make the jump to varsity this fall to replace Luke Alex, who resigned after two seasons. The Eagles went 11-10 under Alex, including a Region 2 championship.

Sharon, Titusville and West Middlesex are still in the process of hiring a new football coach.
