Buzzer-beater going viral

Ever thought about throwing the ball up in the air to run the clock out? That’s the last mistake Mt. Vernon made on Saturday in the Class AA Section 1 championship in New York. New Rochelle Khalil Edney flicked a 55-foot shot one-tenth of a second before the buzzer to give his team a 61-60 win. Officials initially waved off the shot before huddling together and confirming it was good after massive confusion and both teams thinking they had won the game. The incredible video has been picked up by major new sources, including Yahoo.
