each school only has 500 tickets to start. I question the doubleheader with the size of the fan base.

Word is the PIAA couldn’t get Duquesne. Will just have to make do with what they have.

  3. brian says:

do you think they will have tickets for sale at game and if not how can you get tickets if not from one of the schools,

  4. Tom Reisenweber says:

    Brian,
The tickets are soldout at the schools. There wil be about 1,000 tickets available at the door.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Tom,

What time are they opening ticket sales at Edinboro? Do you think noon is a safe time to get there for these games?

Also, where does all this money go? You are talking 20K+ just at Edinboro Saturday. I know they have to pay a fee to use the facilities, but that cannot be anywhere near what they bring in.

  6. Tom Reisenweber says:

    BBall Fan,
Tickets go on sale at noon. You might want to get there a little before as I imagine there will be a line.

All of the money, after expenses, goes to the PIAA. I believe a portion to D-10 and some to the schools. Games like this help D-10 pay the PIAA fees for every school in D-10.

    Thanks,
    Tom

This is an absurd decision. Why would you limit each school to only 500 tickets and sell 1,000 at the door??? I can’t stress enough how dumb that is.

Another thing that drives me crazy with this is why not make the 2nd game start at 4:00 and clear the gym in between?? That way you could give each school 1,500 tickets. The powers that be at the PIAA have dropped the ball on this one.
