Erie Times-News Breakout Athlete of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Athlete of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. with the winners being featured in the Erie Times-News. Fans are encouraged to nominate athletes by 5 p.m. each Saturday by sending an e-mail to Athletes who have won this season are no longer eligible.

Note: This will be the final week for the breakout polls.

Jaymon Mason, General McLane – Scored 33 points in a 69-54 second-round win over Beaver. He then had 22 points in a 42-40 loss to Montour.
Lindsey Jahn, General McLane - Scored 18 points in a 54-36 loss to Bishop Canevin.
Angelina Starr, Franklin – Had 19 points in a 65-45 win over Elizabeth Forward.
Courtney Sargent, Kennedy Catholic – Finished with 17 points in a 70-21 win over Port Allegany.
Carl Anderson, Mercyhurst Prep – Had 13 points, four rebounds and four steals in a 53-39 loss to Beaver Falls.
Matthew Dogan, West Middlesex – Scored 30 points, including 20 in the fourth quarter, in a 61-54 win over Bishop McCort.
Conor Colpoys, Cathedral Prep – Scored 12 points in a 58-50 win over Beaver before putting together 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in an 80-70 loss to New Castle.

Robert Sikatzki, Fairview - Had a huge PIAA meet, starting with a state title in the 100 butterfly with a time of 49.98 seconds. He also had a silver medal in the 200 medley relay and a third place in the 400 free relay.
Griffin Schaetzle, Mercyhurst Prep – Swam the 200 free in 1:42.47 to finish in fourth place in the PIAA meet. He also had a second in the 100 backstroke.
Phil Emerson, Franklin – Won the 50 free PIAA title with a time of 20.90 seconds. He also swam a leg in the state-champion 200 free relay team. He also won a state title in the 100 free with a time of 45.63 seconds and had a second in the 400 free relay.
Adam Bleday, Titusville – Swam the anchor leg in the silver medal 200 free relay team.
Johnathan Ekas, McDowell – Swam a leg in the seventh-place 200 medley relay team and a leg in the 200 free relay team that finished in fifth. He then finished in seventh place in the 100 backstroke.
Rex Riley, Cathedral Prep – Took sixth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 57.45 seconds.
Lauren Barber, Wilmington – Had a big PIAA meet, including a silver in the 200 free with a blazing time of 1:47.96.
Rylee Klomp, Mercyhurst Prep – Picked up a fourth-place medal in the 50 free with a time of 24.05 seconds. She also earned a fifth-place medal in the 100 free with a time of 52.20 seconds and an eighth-place medal in the 400 free relay.
Emma Allison, Fairview – Swam the anchor leg in the 200 medley relay that finished in ninth place and swam for the fifth-place 200 free relay team.
