Sada, Flynn named to preseason all-state baseball teams

Saegertown star shortstop Stephen Sada, a Miami (Ohio) recruit, has been named to the preseason all-state first team by the Pennsylvania High School Baseball Coaches Association. Sada was named the District 10 Player of the Year last spring after an outstanding junior season. Cathedral Prep outfielder Eli Flynn was named to the second team and is a Concord recruit.

Several underclassmen were put on a long PHSBCA watch list, including Harbor Creek’s Patrick Brennan, Isaac Mattson, Mitchell Fife and Sean Rutkosky, Saegertown’s Scott Sada, Tyler Walters and Kyle Wise and Cathedral Prep’s Carter Cross, Michael Douds, Billy Fessler, Charles Fessler, Sam Riley and Dillon Wolbert.

I’m not sure what your PHSBCA watch list criteria is, but don’t fall asleep on Mitchell Wood from Saegertown. He’s had over 60 hits his Freshman & Sophomore seasons combined and will certainly be in the discussion for 1st team D-10 at 2nd base this year.

Not our list, it is the PA coaches list. We just ran what they came up with.
