District 10 football scrimmages set for Saturday

High school football fans who are hungry to see some action can get a little taste this weekend.

Teams throughout District 10 and the state will participate in their first scrimmages of the preseason after practice opened Monday.

The second set of scrimmages will take place next weekend before the regular-season kickoff Aug. 30.

Here’s a list of Saturday’s scrimmages:

Grove City at Ellwood City, 9:30 a.m.
Central Tech at Meadville, 10 a.m.
Conneaut at Iroquois, 10 a.m.
Corry at General McLane, 10 a.m.
Eisenhower at Youngsville, 10 a.m.
Fairview at Strong Vincent (Veterans Stadium), 10 a.m.
Farrell at Union-New Castle, 10 a.m.
Greenville at Karns City, 10 a.m.
Hickory at West Middlesex, 10 a.m.
Keystone at Cochranton, 10 a.m.
Maplewood at Lakeview, 10 a.m.
McDowell at New Castle, 10 a.m.
North East at Titusville, 10 a.m.
Reynolds at Sharpsville, 10 a.m.
Saegertown at Mercer, 10 a.m.
St. Marys at Warren, 10 a.m.

    thank you for posting these scrimmages. I can always rely on the Erie paper and you guys to get the information I,m looking for.I live in Mercer County and the Herald never has anything to say about these type of things. Will you please post the scrimmages for next week also. Thanks again
