After a tough loss to Fairview in which Meghan Martin only allowed two earned runs, the senior pitcher responded in a big way later in the week.
Martin homered in a 12-6 win over Youngsville before tossing a perfect game against Girard. Martin struck out 10 and didn’t allow one baserunner in the 10-0 six-inning win over the YellowJackets.
Martin also sees time as the designated player for the Braves and is a key contributor in the starting lineup.
Iroquois is right behind Fairview in the Region 4 standings and will get another shot at the Tigers on May 3.
