Cathedral Prep’s Terry gets four stars from Scout.com

Damion Terry

Scout.com, a recruiting website, recently awarded Cathedral Prep junior quarterback Damion Terry a four-star rating.

The rating means that Terry is considered a top-flight recruit. (The rating system goes as high as five stars.) Terry’s upgrade — he wasn’t previously rated — followed his participation in an Elite 11 tryout in Columbus, Ohio. He was ranked as the No. 5 quarterback at the Elite 11 (photos), which features premier recruits. Scout.com now ranks him as the No. 25 quarterback in the country.

Terry, a 6-foot 4-inch, 210-pounder, already has committed to Michigan State. The Detroit Free Press recently reported that Terry is trying to convince Prep teammate Delton Williams to join him as a Spartan in 2013.

Williams, a 6-foot 2-inch, 200-pound junior safety/running back, is rated as a three-star recruit. He has at least a dozen scholarship offers from major programs, including Michigan State. Williams has not announced his choice, but Penn State, Pitt and Nebraska are among the other schools to offer.
