Dimitrios Arvanitopulos

The McDowell boys soccer team possessed a potent offense this fall. The Trojans’ defense was equally as a tough for the District 10 Class AAA champions.

A clutch player in the defense turned out to be senior Dimitrios Arvanitopulos.

While defenses focused their attention on Eldin Sabic and Miguel Navarro, Arvanitopulos stepped up with one goal in a 5-2 win over Cathedral Prep in the D-10 championship.

He then contributed another goal in a 3-2 win over DuBois in a PIAA Class AAA subregional.

Anna Reynolds

The Fairview girls soccer team moved down to Class A in the offseason and became an instant contender for the District 10 championship.

Junior midfielder Anna Reynolds is a big reason the Tigers were preseason favorites. Reynolds was part of a strong midfield that supported the offense and defense as a cohesive unit.

She made her presence know in the postseason with two assists in a 4-1 win over defending D-10 champion Wilmington in the semifinals.

Reynolds followed that up with one goal and one assist in a 2-0 win over Mercer for the D-10 title.
