Erie Times-News Breakout Team of the Week

Fans can vote for the Breakout Team of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Friday at 4:59 p.m. with the winner being featured Sunday in the Erie Times-News. Fans are encouraged to submit nominations of teams by Tuesday night and coaches are encouraged to call in every result throughout the season.

Warren boys track and field – The Dragons set two meet records in relays on their way to the Harbor Creek Invitational championship.
Harbor Creek girls track and field – The Huskies were impressive on Saturday and edged some of District 10′s top programs to win the Harbor Creek Invitational.
North East track and field – The Grapepickers moved to 4-0 in boys and girls on Tuesday with sweeps of Girard and Union City.
McDowell track and field – The Trojans are perfect in region meets this season.
Maplewood boys volleyball – The Tigers moved to 3-0 with a sweep of Cambridge Springs on Tuesday.
Fairview boys tennis – The Tigers finished the first half of the season with a perfect 6-0 record by defeating Harbor Creek 5-0 on Monday.
Kennedy Catholic boys tennis – The Golden Eagles edged Greenville 3-2 on Tuesday in a battle of Region 1 powers. Kennedy finished the first half of the season with a perfect record by sweeping the doubles matches and earning a win at No. 3 singles.
Saegertown baseball - The Panthers moved to 10-0 on Friday with a convincing 10-0 win over Lakeview. Saegertown has mercy-ruled seven of its eight District 10 opponents this season with a 9-0 win over Hickory as the only exception.
Titusville softball – The Rockets improved to 8-0 with an impressive 13-3 five-inning win over Region 5 favorite Hickory.
Saegertown softball – The Panthers routed Lakeview 11- on Friday to move to 9-0.
Warren softball – The Dragons have been very impressive to start the season. Warren routed Central Tech 10-0 to remain perfect at 6-0 in possibly the toughest region in District 10.
