Shame on you D10 officials for providing MP every advantage available to win a girls high school soccer match. Veterans is less than 2 miles from their high school & they play the majority of their home matches there. Big difference when you are able to rest up after school before a big game vs. boarding a school bus for a 100 mile trek. We know you understand that you are dealing with high school athletes not professionals and your antics did affect the outcome of a match.
It is a shame PIAA District 10 fails to treat the entire District equally. Year after Year all playoff seeding, brackets, venues and officials are arranged to the advantage of Erie teams. One has to wonder that if they would EVER have a fairly arranged playoff season you would see as many repeat champions.
The Erie County wrestlers feel the same way having to make trips to Sharon every year (in the winter)… We feel your pain..lol
Erie baseball fans also feel the same way. Try winning a playoff game that is played 100 miles from Erie. We make that “trek” every year. No sympathy here.
Cross Country in Sharon..
Boys Golf in West Middlesex..
Boys and Girls Team Golf in Greenville..
AA Wrestling D10 and Regionals in Sharon..
AA Track & Field in Hickory..
Sorry soccer fans, still not getting sympathy
Traveling is not the issue but obviously it is to those of you in Erie. There are plenty of neutral locations where any above mentioned sports can take place but it is never taken into consideration.
Traveling must have been the issue because they are not able to rest up after school to make the 100 mile trek to Erie. I agree that there are plenty of neutral locations where games should be played. Can’t believe that D10 officials unfairy arrange locations to give Erie schools an advantage.
