Fans can vote for the Breakout Soccer Players of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. with the winner being featured in Thursday’s edition of the Erie Times-News. Nominations are based on results called into the Erie Times-News. Fans are encouraged to submit nominations of players by Saturday night and coaches are encouraged to call in every result throughout the season. Players who have won the award this season are no longer eligible.

Boys
Dez Cifelli, McDowell – Collected a hat trick to lead the Trojans to a 5-1 win over Strong Vincent.
Peter Keim, General McLane – Scored four times to lead the Lancers to a 4-1 win over Central Tech. He also scored once in a 4-1 win over Harbor Creek. Keim scored as time expired on Saturday to help McLane beat Slippery Rock 2-1.
Kevin Hodgkins, Hickory – Had two goals to continue his impressive season with a 4-1 win over Commodore Perry. He then scored three times in a 9-0 win over Conneaut Valley.
Greg Berdis, Fairview – Scored three times to lead the Tigers to a 10-0 win over Iroquois. Berdis then scored three times in an 8-0 win over Seneca.
Colton Bly, Bradford – Collected three goals in an 8-0 win over Oil City.
Josh Eby, North East – Had another shutout as the red-hot Grapepickers beat Fort LeBoeuf 2-0. Eby had seven shutouts in North East’s past eight matches.
Jose Abdala, Mercyhurst Prep – Scored three times to help the Lakers knock off the defending WPIAL Class AAA champion Peters Township 5-1.
Will Cole, Eisenhower – Cole continued his strong season with a crucial 1-0 shutout over Iroquois. The Knights’ win kept them in the playoff race heading into an important match with Mercyhurst Prep later this week.
Salim Khalife, Saegertown – Scored twice to lead the Panthers to an important 2-0 win over Girard.
Elongo Kimwanga, East – Kimwanga scored with less than three minutes left in overtime to give the Warriors a 3-2 win over Meadville and avoid a tie in region play.

Girls
Kristin Markiewicz, Harbor Creek – The standout scored in overtime to give the Huskies a 4-3 win over General McLane. Harbor Creek clinched the Region 6 title and ran its streak to 23 straight region wins. She then scored twice in a 6-0 win over Girard.
Jasmin Khoo, Iroquois - Khoo scored with 26 minutes, 16 seconds left to vault the Braves to a 2-1 win over Maplewood and clinch the Region 3 title outright.
Olivia Augustyniak, Mercyhurst Prep – Scored twice in a 4-0 win over Warren before adding two more goals in a 3-0 win over Bradford.
Aubri McCoy, Grove City – Recorded a hat trick in a 7-0 win over Sharpsville.
Danielle Wissinger, Slippery Rock – Took a step closer to a milestone on Monday with three goals in an 8-0 win over Sharon. Wissinger then scored once in a 5-2 win over Wilmington to give her 97 career goals.
Liz Barnhart, Cambridge Springs – Barnhart scored twice to lead the Blue Devils to a 5-1 win over Eisenhower. Barnhart, who also scored once in a 7-0 win over Oil City, has more than 30 goals this season and is one of the top goal-scorers in District 10.
Sammy Valloud, McDowell – Had a hat trick in 8-0 win over Strong Vincent while also scoring a goal in a 2-0 win over Villa Maria.
Chandi Hasenplug, Sharpsville – Hasenplug scored three goals to lead the Blue Darlings to a 4-0 win over Sharon.
Julia Weller, Mercer – Had three goals and two assists in a 6-0 win over West Middlesex.
Megan Fish, Seneca – Scored at the end of regulation and again in overtime to give the Bobcats a thrilling 3-2 win over North East. She also scored in a 3-0 win against Mercer.
Nikki Cole, Fort LeBoeuf – Had the only goal as the Bison picked up a huge 1-0 win over General McLane.
Morgan Putnam, Villa Maria – Putnam continued her late-season surge with four goals in an 11-0 win over East.
Cara Cohick, East – Scored the Warriors’ only goal in a 1-0 win to give East its first win of the season.
Jessica Mihalic, Fairview – Scored three times to lead the Tigers to a 5-2 win over Grove City.

Jason Roos, Cathedral Prep – scored twice in the Ramblers’ 3-0 win over East.
James Geraci, Girard – scored with three seconds left to give the YellowJackets a thrilling 3-2 win over Fort LeBoeuf.
Josh Eby, North East – continued the Grapepickers’ shutout streak with a 2-0 win over Saegertown and a 2-0 win over General McLane. He continued it Saturday with a 6-0 win over Titusville
Cole McCandless, Slippery Rock - had two goals in a 3-0 win over Sharon before putting together a hat trick in a 4-3 win over Commodore Perry.
Henry Kennedy, Titusville – scored five times to lead the Rockets to an 8-1 win over Oil City.
Matt Sandberg, Warren – had a hat trick to lead the Dragons to a 10-0 win over Corry. He then added two goals in a 14-2 win over Titusville.

Megan McKinney, Mercer – chipped in a corner kick in overtime to lead the Lady M’s to an important 1-0 win over Kennedy Catholic.
Steph Corey, Harbor Creek - scored two goals to lead the Huskies to an important 4-0 win over Fairview.
Marie Winarski, Central Tech – posted another shutout as the Falcons beat Strong Vincent 2-0 for the first time in head coach John Sala’s five-year tenure.
Raechel Pusateri, Wilmington – scores three times to help the Greyhounds beat Kennedy Catholic 6-0 and clinch a share of the Region 1 title.
Courtney Herget, Iroquois – scored twice to help the Braves beat Eisenhower 6-0 and lock up a share of the Region 3 title.
Sarah Kaiser, Mercyhurst Prep – had a hat trick to lead the Lakers to a 10-0 win over Corry.
Morgan Putnam, Villa Maria – Putnam started the week with a hat trick in an 8-0 win over Bradford. She then scored an important goal in a 2-0 win over Fairview.

John Martini, Girard – had a second-half hat trick to lead the YellowJackets to the 4-3 comeback win over Central Tech. Martini’s final goal sealed the win with five minutes left.
Kevin Hodgkins, Hickory – scored three times in an 11-1 win over Conneaut Valley.
Abbas Almusawi, East - came up with several big saves including one on a penalty shot to help the Warriors upset McDowell 2-1.
Kassel Weber, Meadville - scored twice and dished out an assist in a 3-1 win over Strong Vincent.
Peter Keim, General McLane – had several key goals last week including the only score in a 1-0 win over Girard.
Jose Abdala, Mercyhurst Prep – scored four goals in a 7-2 win over Iroquois.
Anthony Martone, Fairview – had two goals in a 3-1 win over Corry.
Greg Roos, Cathedral Prep – put together a hat trick in a 4-0 win over Aquinas Institute.

Girls
Bekah Edder, Girard – had a hat trick in a 10-0 non-region win over Corry.
Jessica Mihalic, Fairview - scored twice in a 3-2 win over Fort LeBoeuf.
Kristin Markiewicz, Harbor Creek – put together a hat trick as the Huskies routed Seneca 7-1.
Courtney Edwards, Villa Maria – scored in overtime to shock state-ranked Mercyhurst Prep 1-0.
Rachel Burnett, Strong Vincent – had a big all-around game in the Colonels’ 9-0 win over Corry. Burnett had a shutout in goal in the first half before scoring four times in the second half.
Sammy Valloud, McDowell – scored twice in a 5-0 win over Meadville.
Sarah Kaiser, Mercyhurst Prep – had both of the Lakers’ goals in a 2-1 win over Nichols.
Rachel Burns, Kennedy Catholic - scored two goals for the Golden Eagles in a 2-1 win over Conneaut Valley.
Lauren Smith, Conneaut Valley – had three goals and two assists in a 12-0 win over Oil City.

Ed Dorunda, Warren – scored twice after the Dragons battled to a 1-1 tie with powerhouse Mercyhurst Prep midway through the first half. Warren finished with a huge 3-1 win.
Kevin Hodgkins, Hickory – started a huge week with three goals in a 9-0 win at Sharon.
Josh Eby, North East – collected two shutouts to help the Grapepickers win two important matches. Eby’s most impressive performance started the week when he shut out Harbor Creek 1-0 in overtime. Eby then silenced Fort LeBoeuf 1-0 on Thursday.
Greg Berdis, Fairview - scored two times in a 3-2 win over Kennedy Catholic before adding four goals in a 16-0 win over Iroquois.
Sean Culver, Cathedral Prep – had a hat trick in an 11-0 Region 6 win over Strong Vincent.
Kory Miller, Commodore Perry – scored in the second overtime to lead the Panthers to a thrilling 2-1 upset of Hickory.
Jimmie D’Onofrio, Kennedy Catholic – had three goals in a 6-0 win over Wilmington.
Mohammad Hassan, East – scored four times to lead the Warriors to a 7-1 win over Corry.

Girls
Liz Barnhart, Cambridge Springs – scored five times to lead the Blue Devils to a 14-0 win over Oil City.
Christina Winarski, Central Tech – put together a hat trick to lead the Falcons to a 6-0 win over Corry.
Steph Corey, Harbor Creek – scored three goals in a 7-0 win over North East.
Laura Schaefer, General McLane – had two goals in a 4-1 win over Girard.
Rachael Hazen, Conneaut Valley – with her team trailing 1-0 to Cambridge Springs and eight seconds left in regulation, Hazen scored to send the match to overtime. The Indians eventually won 2-1 on Kenzie Hughes’ game-winning goal.
Sarah Kaiser, Mercyhurst Prep – scored twice to lead the Lakers to a 3-1 rivalry win against McDowell.
Jillian Blaszczyk, Villa Maria – had two goals as the Victors picked up an important 4-2 win over Harbor Creek.

Greg Roos, Cathedral Prep - set up the only goal in double overtime to help the Ramblers defeat rival McDowell 1-0. Roos was up and down the side of the field all night long before corralling a clear by the Prep defense. He beat two defenders, somehow arced a pass into the middle of the field for younger brother Jason Roos to score.
Mohamed Hassan, East – scored twice to continue his outstanding season and lead the Warriors to a 4-1 win over Strong Vincent.
Kevin Hodgkins, Hickory – the Hornet standout scored six times to lead Hickory to a 13-0 win over West Middlesex.
Matt Wasielewski, Harbor Creek – scored with 20 seconds left in the second overtime to avoid a tie and give the Huskies an important 2-1 win over Girard.
Santos Guerra, Central Tech – scored with two minutes left to give the Falcons a 1-0 win over Iroquois in non-region play.
Jalen Gray, Meadville – scored with 50 seconds left in the second overtime to give the Bulldogs a clutch 3-2 win over Corry.
Braden Sloan, Slippery Rock – scored with one minute left in the second overtime to give the Rockets a 4-3 win over Kennedy Catholic.
Nathan Breese, Mercer – recorded a hat trick to lead the Mustangs to an 8-1 win over Conneaut Valley. He also scored in overtime to give Mercer a 2-1 win over Commodore Perry.
Will Potter, Grove City – drilled an overtime goal to keep the Eagles undefeated with a 3-2 win over Wilmington.

Girls
Courtney Herget, Iroquois – scored all four goals in a 4-0 win over Eisenhower.
Kaitlyn Kissell, Villa Maria – became Villa’s all-time scorer with a goal against Meadville during a 5-2 win. Kissell’s goal was her 113th all-time.
Megan Yount, Harbor Creek – made several impressive moves and scored with less than four minutes left to vault the Huskies to a key 1-0 win over Fairview. She also scored in a 2-1 win over General McLane and had a hat trick in an 8-0 win over Warren.
Morgan Siebka, Slippery Rock – scored twice to lead the Rockets to a 3-0 win over Sharpvsille.

Mohamed Hassan, East - scored twice to lead the Warriors to a 2-1 upset of Harbor Creek.
Pat Thomas, Kennedy Catholic – drilled a game-winner in overtime with only two minutes left to give the Golden Eagles a 2-1 win.
Andrew Gilmore, Commodore Perry – scored four times to lead the Panthers to an impressive 11-0 win over West Middlesex.
Anthony Martone, Fairview – scored three times to lead the Tigers to an 8-0 win over Oil City. He also scored twice in a 3-0 win over Titusville. Martone finished his terrific week off with three goals in a 5-0 win against Girard.
Joe Lang, Mercer - drilled an overtime goal to give the Mustangs a 3-2 upset win over Slippery Rock.
Jose Abdala, Mercyhurst Prep – produced a hat trick to lead the Lakers to a 6-0 win over Titusville.
Kevin Gardner, Fort LeBoeuf – scored three times to lead the Bisons to an 8-1 win over Seneca.
Christian Harrington, Warren – had eight goals in three matches, including four goals in a 7-1 win over General McLane on Saturday.

Girls
Shannon Regan, General McLane – scored in the final minute to give the Lancers a clutch 1-0 win over Fairview.
Lauren Elia, Mercyhurst Prep – continued her strong play to start the season with three goals in a 6-1 win over Warren. She also scored twice in an 8-1 win at Steel Valley.
Allison Richards, Hickory – scored three times to lead the Hornettes to a 10-0 win over Kennedy Catholic and tie Mercer graduate Claire Creasy for the Mercer County scoring record. Richards then set the record with three more goals in a 5-0 win over Neshannock. She finished the week with three goals against Villa Maria in a 4-1 win.
Megan Yount, Harbor Creek - had three goals to lead the Huskies to a 7-0 win over Fort LeBoeuf.
Caroline Mashyna, McDowell – scored three times to lead the Trojans to a 7-0 win over Central Tech.

Sean Lynch, McDowell - helped the Trojans escape North East in double overtime. Lynch ripped a shot into the side of the net to give McDowell a 2-1 double-overtime win.
Jake Van Houten, Eisenhower – recorded a hat trick to lead the Knights to a 5-0 win over Oil City.
Mario Perez, Mercyhurst Prep – put together two shutouts this past week. Perez started with a 3-0 shutout over Bradford and a 5-0 win over St. Francis (N.Y.).

Girls
Steph Corey, Harbor Creek - scored four goals on four shots to lead the Huskies to a 9-1 rout of Seneca.
Liz Barnhart, Cambridge Springs – scored all four of the Blue Devils’ goals in a 4-2 win over Titusville.
Lauren Elia, Mercyhurst Prep - helped the Lakers continue their dominance of Villa Maria with three goals in a 6-0 win over the Victors.
Delaynee Wilcox, Meadville – scored four goals in a 9-0 win over East.
Alexis Mazzeo, North East - had two shutouts in goal this past week. She started with a 2-0 win over Strong Vincent before another 2-0 win against Eisenhower.
Kaitlyn Kissell, Villa Maria – netted three goals in a 9-3 win over Warren.
Allison Richards, Hickory – scored four times in a 5-1 win over General McLane.
