Eisenhower Knights
Coach (season, record): Mike Decker (13th season, 160-45-6)
2010 overall record: 16-2-1
2010 region record (place): 9-0-1 (champion)
2010 playoff results: Lost 2-1 to Fairview in the District 10 Class A semifinals.
Top players lost: Conor Flynn, Alex Thomas, Preston Perrotti, Mike Passinger, Shane Gerbec, Paul Sherer
Top returning players: Will Cole, Ben Perkins, Josiah Blick, Cole Ordiway, Justin Demontier, Andy Decker, Jake VanHouten
Assistant coach: Boyd Lewis
Outlook: Eisenhower put together another solid season in 2010 but the Knights lost several standout players to graduation. All-region first team members Conor Flynn and Alex Thomas are gone along with second teamers Shane Gerbec, Preston Perrotti and Mike Passinger. Coach Mike Decker, who is in his 13th season, will look for several underclassmen to fill in those holes. The good news for the Knights is the return of all-region first team goalkeeper Will Cole and all-region second team defender Ben Perkins. Both provide strong play and leadership for Eisenhower. Josiah Blick, Cole Ordiway, Justin Demontier, Andy Decker and Jake VanHouten also return and will look to make an impact this season for the young Knights. Eisenhower won some big games last year to earn the Region 3 title and will need to come together as a team during camp to make another run at the region championship.

Coach (season, record): Kevin Weigel (5th season, 21-43-2)
2010 overall record: 3-12-1
2010 region record (place): 1-2-1 (second)
Playoff results: Did not qualify for the District 10 playoffs.
Top players lost: Lauren Sherry, Lyndsey Arford, Natalie Gray
Top returning players: Kayla Riel, Taylor Talasky, Alyssa Gray, Brook Stanton, Kearsten Maine, Rachel Dinger
Assistant coaches: None
Outlook: Eisenhower is facing an uphill battle this season with participation. The Knights are hoping to have between 18 and 22 players this year after finishing 2010 with 15 players. Depth is a big problem and could hurt Eisenhower this fall. The Knights lost Lauren Sherry, Lyndsey Arford and Natalie Gray to graduation and have only three seniors returning. Kayla Riel leads the senior class as a sweeper, while all-region forward Taylor Talasky is back for her junior season. Alyssa Gray, Brook Stanton, Kearsten Maine and Rachel Dinger return as well to lead a young and inexperienced Eisenhower team.
