Hunter Scott

Harbor Creek sophomore diver Hunter Scott is already making a lasting mark at the District 10 level.

He won the District 10 Class AA diving championship with a score of 446.55 one week after claiming a big win in the McDowell Diving Invitational. Scott, who took third in last year’s D-10 meet to earn a spot in the PIAA championship meet, moves on to the state championships for a second time March 13-14 at Bucknell University.

Scott finished 14th in the state last winter and is looking to elevate his elite status in D-10 to the rest of the state.

Adam Hamilton

If this past week is any indication, the future is bright for Harbor Creek sophomore Adam Hamilton.

Hamilton had an outstanding erformance in the Huskies’ 107-73 win over Corry Feb. 11.

Hamilton won three events in the meet, including the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.44 seconds and the 100 freestyle with a time of 57.81. He also took part in the winning 400 freestyle relay team, along with Cutter Hall, Richard Burke and Kyle Thomas. The team won the relay with a time of 4:07.61.

Cutter Hall

 Harbor Creek’s Cutter Hall is emerging as an up-and-coming sprint swimmer in the area.

Recently, the junior won the 200 free and was in two winning relays during a win over Corry.

He swam the 
200 free in 
2 minutes, 11.20 second and was part of the winning 200 free relay and 400 free relay. The Huskies swam the 200 free relay in 1:46.25 and the 400 free relay in 3:59.31. Hall then won the 200 (2:12.92) and swam on the winning 200 free relay (1;44.85) in a win over Union City.

Caleb Schreiber

Sophomore Caleb Schreiber has filled in anywhere the Harbor Creek boys swimming team has needed him.

Schreiber was integral in the Huskies 146-23 win over Girard with four event wins. Those events were an interesting mix for the young swimmer. He won the 500 free, the 100 backstroke and was on the winning 200 medley and 400 free relay teams.

Schreiber also won the 200 IM in a loss to North East Monday and his versatility to swim various events could pay off down the line for the Huskies.

Sarah Maguire

The Harbor Creek girls swimming team is off to a fast 3-1 start this season and senior Sarah Maguire has been a big part of the Huskies’ success.

She recently helped Harbor Creek beat Girard 138-40 with four event wins. Maguire won the 100 free and the 200 IM while also participating in two winning relay teams.

On Monday, the Huskies beat North East 110-72 behind three event wins from Maguire, including the 100 breaststroke and two more relay wins.

Dominic Mazza

Mazza has been a consistent winner and a key reason why the Harbor Creek boys swimming team stood alone in second place in Region 2 with a 10-1 start.

The senior helped the Huskies to a pair of dual victories last week by winning a combined eight events.

In Harbor Creek’s 132-46 win over Girard Jan. 30, Mazza won the 100-yard freestyle (52.71 seconds) and 200-yard freestyle (1:59.91) and swam legs on the winning 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.

Three days later in the Huskies’ 149-23 win over Corry, he placed first in the 200 individual medley (2:27.59) and 100 backstroke (1:03.84) and was a member of the winning 200 medley and 400 free relays.

Tyler Nowosielski

Nowosielski had a strong week while helping Harbor Creek to its fifth and sixth consecutive wins in Region 3. The senior had seven combined wins in the Huskies’ Region 2 victories over Corry Jan. 9 and Iroquois Jan. 12.

He opened the week by winning the 50-yard freestyle in 25.98 seconds and swimming legs on the winning 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay against Corry.

Nowosielski then won the 50 free (26.24) and 100 breaststroke (1:10.97) against Iroquois. He also swam the second leg of the first-place 200 free relay and the third leg of the 200 medley relay.

Kelsey Urban

What a way to start your high school career. Harbor Creek freshman Kelsey Urban earned the maximum of four event wins Dec. 15 while helping the Huskies to a 114-56 victory over General McLane.

Urban won the 200-yard individual medley in a solid 2 minutes, 26.33 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 1:00.67. She also swam legs on Harbor Creek’s winning 200-yard medley and 400 freestyle relays.

Against a talented North East team Monday, Urban added another win in the 200 IM in 2:26.70. It was one of the Huskies’ two wins in a 97-73 loss.
