Post 11 kicked Sunday off with an 11-0 win over West County in a loser’s bracket elimination game. Post 11 advances to the loser’s bracket championship Monday at 8 p.m. against Millcreek. Millcreek lost to Albion 6-3 on Sunday night. Albion, which clinched one of two spots in the Region 8 tournament, advances to the championship on Tuesday against the Post 11-Millcreek winner.

American Legion Erie County playoffs is taking place this weekend at Northwestern High School. Here are updates from the quadrupleheader going on today throughout the afternoon and evening. Below the updates is the current playoff bracket. The top two teams advance to the Region 8 tournament.

Final update
Post 11 beats LeBoeuf 4-0. Post 11 will take on West County at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The winner advances to the loser’s bracket championship. The schedule for the rest of the tournament is below.

Update No. 3
West County ends Wesleyville’s season with a 14-3 win in the loser’s bracket quarterfinals. West County advances to the semifinals Sunday at 4:30 p.m. and will take on the winner of tonight’s game between LeBoeuf and Post 11.

Update No. 2
Millcreek holds off Post 11 6-4 in the winner’s bracket semifinals. Millcreek advances to the winner’s bracket championship Sunday at 8 p.m. against Albion. Post 11 will play with its season on the line tonight at 7:30 p.m. against LeBoeuf.

Update No. 1
Albion beats West County 9-6 in a winner’s bracket semifinal earlier today. Albion earns a spot in the winner’s bracket championship Sunday at 8 p.m. West County will look to stay alive in the double-elimination format at 4:30 p.m. against Wesleyville.

Millcreek leads Post 11 2-0 through four innings.

West County routed LeBoeuf 16-3 Friday to set the semifinal matchups in the American League Erie County baseball playoffs. West County will take on Albion at 10:30 a.m. followed by Millcreek and Post 11 at 1:30 p.m. The winners meet Sunday at 8 p.m. Saturday also features two loser’s bracket games where the season will end for two teams.
