Despite the winter season wrapping up, fans still came out in a big way this week with more than 3,000 votes. In somewhat of a surprising result, four of the five polls were won by non-Erie County residents. The most exciting race came in girls swimming as Slippery Rock’s Katie Antal held off Wilmington standout Lauren Barber by only seven votes. David Benczkowski of Mercyhurst Prep claimed the boys swimming poll. Titusville’s Cody Brunst took home the wrestling poll, while Matt Votino (Hickory) and Haley Andres (Franklin) won the basketball polls.
